Position Description:
The Pastor’s Purpose: for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness Christ. Ephesians 4: 13 (KJV).
In essence, the pastor is a coaching minister, guiding the team to increasingly know and trust God as they obediently serve together.

Pastor Fritz Merkes. A believer in Jesus since 1981. Accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior while in the desert near Ft. Bliss, Texas. Married to Claire since 1987. Father of Wes and Will. Ministered in south Chicago, Cincinnati, and the Appalachian part of Ohio. Graduate of the University of Cincinnati (B.A.), the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (M.A.), and Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div., D.Min).
But these things that were gain to me I consider loss for Christ…and count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:7.
